A Moray primary school has become one of the first in the UK to take part in a new course to support children from forces families.
Charity Little Troopers has launched the initiative to help youngsters navigate challenges of military life including frequently moving home and being separated from parents.
Eight pupils from Hythehill Primary School in Lossiemouth have taken part in the course with a further group due to start this term.
Out of the school’s current roll of 362 there are currently 175 children from forces families.
Head teacher Susanne Campbell said: “Through using the resources from Little Troopers, the school has been in a position to offer further specialist support for groups of identified children who have found change – transitioning, friendship building, deployment – particularly challenging or unsettling.”
