The Bay City Rollers have fittingly been announced for Saturday Night at MacMoray Easter Festival.

Nazareth and Sweet will also be taking to the stage at the event next April.

The Elgin festival often treats fans to nostalgic line-ups, with the latest announcements for 2023 taking it back to the 70s.

Festival goers won’t want to say Bye Bye Baby to the first night of the festival on April 29 as the Edinburgh-born Bay City Rollers take to the stage.

In a video released on MacMoray’s Facebook page, guitarist Stuart Wood said he was looking forward to heading north next spring.

He said the festival was going to be “a lot of fun” and told people to “keep on Rollin'” in the meantime.

Hits certain to get the crowd boogying include Shang-a-Lang, I Only Wanna Be With You and Summer Love Sensation.

Dream On at MacMoray

Nazareth recently lost former lead singer Daniel McCafferty, who died earlier this year.

They are still looking forward to encouraging fans to Dream On at the festival next year, however.

Pete Agnew, who plays bass in the Dunfermline-based band, said: “We’re really looking forward to playing it, and I hope you’re looking forward to hearing us.”

The final band announced this week was Sweet, who will play their hits including Ballroom Blitz and Fox On The Run at the festival on Sunday night.

Festival organisers have added to the excitement started by the announcement of B*Witched and Five last week.

Tickets are available now.
