A Moray road which collapsed following a landslip is expected to reopen next week.
A 65ft stretch of the carriageway on the B9102 Knockando to Dallas road crumbled away on Wednesday after torrential rain pounded the region and caused flash floods in places.
The landslide happened on the Dallas side of the Aultnaguish Bridge, two miles outside the village.
Local access to farms and properties on either side of the collapsed carriageway is being maintained, but the road remains closed to through traffic, meaning drivers have to negotiate a 25-mile diversion via Archiestown, Rothes and Elgin.
Speyside-Glenlivet councillor Fiona Murdoch is a frequent user of the route and voiced fears that further heavy rain could prolong repairs.
However, a Moray Council spokesman confirmed yesterday that repair work would begin on Monday and is expected to take two to three days to complete.
