Commuters are still facing delays after a fault was discovered on the tracks between Arrochar and Tarbet and Ardlui.
Trains to and from Milngavie, Oban and Fort William from Glasgow were affected whilst Network Rail engineers carried out urgent repairs to fix the broken fishplate.
Services are now beginning to return to normal but ScotRail are advising customers that disruption is still expected to last into the afternoon.

ScotRail issued a statement saying: “We have been advised that the line has now reopened after repairs were carried out.
“We’re working hard to get services operating normally again.
“Disruption is expected until 1pm today.”

It’s the second time in a week the line has been forced to close due to a broken fishplate.
ScotRail services suffered setbacks last Tuesday with flooding damaging the line at Taynuilt.
