The result continued County’s excellent recent run of form, with the victory against Tommy Wright’s men their seventh in eight matches.
Boyce’s goal ensured County remain three points ahead of Motherwell in 11th place, following the Lanarkshire side’s 5-0 victory against a St Mirren outfit now 13 points adrift of the Staggies at the foot of the table.
McIntyre reckons the Northern Irishman has been pivotal in his side’s good run of form.
He said: “I’m thrilled for Liam because he’s been a big part of what we’ve been doing lately.
“He has been laying on chances for others and really bringing other people into the game.
“I’m delighted he managed to get a goal. We had to grind it out because it was a really hard-fought game but, in the end, I felt we deserved the three points.”
