Inverurie Locos manager Neil Cooper has challenged his side to go unbeaten for the remainder of the campaign.

Locos are aiming for their third consecutive victory at Strathspey Thistle today after wins against Clachnacuddin and Forres Mechanics.

Inverurie will have Ryan Booth and Jordan Leyden back from work commitments but Ryan Broadhurst will miss out.

The Garioch side could hand a first start to midfielder Sam French, who has signed until the end of the season after returning from a stint in New Zealand, and made his debut as a substitute in Wednesday’s 4-3 win against Mechanics.

Former Aberdeen youth coach Cooper, who took over at Harlaw Park in January, is intent on ending the season on a high to take momentum into next term and he said: “We’ve got two wins back-to-back and I want us to go from now until the end of the season without losing a game.

“We have five games to go, so we want to win all of them to take that into next season.

“It will be my first trip to Strathspey but as long as we get the three points it will be a good trip.”

Forres make the trip to Turriff United, with manager Charlie Rowley hoping several of his players have recovered from a sickness bug that has swept the Moray side.

Rowley said: “The camp has been riddled with the flu and throat infections and it’s really taken its toll on us.

“Alan Pollock has been off his work, along with myself, Graeme Grant, Ross MacPherson and Martin Groat, while Stuart Soane was sick at the end of the Locos game.

“We will have Graham Fraser back, though, and hopefully Alan as well.”

Clachnacudidn will welcome back attacker Stuart Leslie from work commitments for their game against Brora Rangers at Grant Street Park but Martin Callum, Matthew Grant and Ryan Macdonald miss out through injury and Michael Finnis is suspended.

Nairn County could once again field 17-year-old goalkeeper Fraser Wilkie at Lossiemouth today due to injuries to Dylan Maclean and Ryan Macleod, while Gregg Main is suspended.

Keith take on Fraserburgh at Kynoch Park, with midfielder James Brownie ruled out through suspension.
