Northstar CFC get the better of Culter Deeside at Northfield

Northstar CFC emerged victorious on Saturday, beating Culter Deeside 2-1 at Northfield in U18 League A.

“It was a tough game, but we took our chances well and probably just deserved the three points,” said Northstar CFC’s manager Billy Fyvie after the game.

“Two goals from Ricky Mennie was enough to win it, but Culter played well and made us work for it.”

For Culter Deeside, the result means they are in fourth spot in the league, with Northstar in fifth, two points behind them, with two games in hand.

Northstar CFC have scored 11 goals in total in their four fixtures so far.

Culter Deeside, meanwhile, have scored 26 goals in this campaign. Away from home they have scored 10 goals, with 16 goals coming on their home ground.

Elsewhere in U18 A, Dyce BC won 9-0 against Colony Colts.
