Ewan Purser took this photograph at approximately 1am, and shows the oil tanker Mersey Fisher as it ran aground as it was entering Inverness Harbour. Coastguard teams were called out to the scene of the accident at 1.30am, and the vessel was re-floated shortly afterwards. Nobody was hurt as a result of the incident. The 91 metre boat ran aground at Carnac Point, close to Kessock Bridge.
