Case IH has appointed new dealers to represent its brand in the north and north-east.

The farm machinery manufacturer has confirmed Balgownie Ltd as its dealer for Aberdeenshire and Mark Garrick Ltd as its representative for the area stretching from Moray across to Inverness and the Black Isle.

The franchise was previously held by A.M. Phillip, which has depots at Huntly, Conon Bridge, Forfar, Fraserburgh and Glenrothes.

Balgownie will serve farmers through its dealership facilities at the Thainstone Business Park at Inverurie and the Markethill Industrial Estate at Turriff.

The company’s managing director, Mike Singer, said: “We are delighted to be working with Case IH. In this area we have a strong base of farmers who understand the value of investing in new technology, so knowledgeable dealers with the right advice and products play an important role.

“The farming area is one of the best stock areas of Scotland and we also have some of the best arable land in the UK, mainly operated by larger farming units. This represents a very strong base of existing and potential customers who will benefit from the fact that we now handle the full range of Case IH products, including tractors from 50hp to 620hp, the highly-regarded Axial-Flow range of combines, RB-Series round balers and LB-Series rectangular balers.”

Mark Garrick Ltd, which is based at Brookfield, Birnie, in Elgin, was founded by Glenlivet native Mark Garrick in 2000.

Mr Garrick hinted at expansion plans and said: “Our business has been built up on excellent customer service. The decision to go forward with Case IH enables us to increase our business portfolio and offer a wide range of products which will appeal to our diverse range of customers, from highly-specialised arable farms producing high-value crops such as potatoes and carrots using the latest technologies, to traditional mixed and livestock farms.

“Case IH is a highly-regarded global brand which encompasses an industry-leading range of products that represent excellent value for money, while the FPT engines and CVX transmissions are at the forefront of technology. As a main dealer we are now in a position to supply the complete range of Case IH products, carry out servicing and repairs and supply parts.”

Case’s marketing manager, Charles Blessley, said the company was delighted to welcome the dealers to its network.

“This is an exciting time, especially with the changes that have taken place in farming in recent years, and because customers increasingly rely on high-quality machines supported by first-class dealers, which we are able to provide,” he added.

The company also confirmed the appointment of Hexham-based Everitt and Marshall Ltd as its dealer for Northumberland and the north of England.
