The Prince’s Countryside Fund is offering grants of up to £2,500 to rural community groups who are providing assistance during the coronavirus pandemic.
The fund was established by the Prince of Wales in 2010 with the aim of enhancing the prospects of family farm businesses and the quality of rural life.
It has teamed up with players of People’s Postcode Lottery to launch a £100,000 fund to provide emergency funding to farming and rural community support groups offering assistance during the Covid-19 crisis.
Prince’s Countryside Fund director Claire Saunders said grants were available for things such as volunteer and fuel costs for grocery and prescription delivery, costs associated with emergency support by farm and agricultural support groups, and rural foodbanks or food delivery services.
Applications close on April 15. Details are online at www.princescountrysidefund.org.uk/grants
