Two major agricultural shows are taking place in the north and north-east this weekend.
Next up in the agricultural show diary are the Banchory and Sutherland shows on Saturday, July 25.
Organisers of both shows are hoping for fine weather to ensure crowds come from far and near to view some of the finest livestock in the region.
The Banchory Show, now in its 194th year, will feature a special performance from the Royal Signals Motorcycle Display Team.
While the Sutherland Show, which began in 1951, will feature a display from Strathorn Clydesdales.
Both shows will see livestock and equestrian competitors battle it out for coveted show rosettes.
Last year’s events saw the champion of champion show titles awarded to Clydesdale horses at both shows.
At Banchory, Mearns builder Vic Peterkin, of Bogincaber House, Auchenblae, took the title with his then two-year-old filly Glenbervie Elizabeth.
While at Sutherland, Eric and Miranda Johnstone, of Muir of Ord, lifted the top title with their then three-year-old filly Ord Envy.
The Banchory Show, which takes place at King George V Park, opens at 9am.
Admission costs £10 for adults, £5 for senior citizens and children aged between 12 and 16, and children under 12 get in for free.
Car parking costs £2 and there is a free shuttle bus to take visitors from the car park to the showground.
Meanwhile, the Sutherland Show takes place at the Dornoch Links.
Admission is £6 for adults, £3 for concessions and children, and children under the age of five get in for free. Parking is also free.
