An Aberdeen-based financial services firm has changed its name about two years after it was taken over in a deal with up to £8.7million.
Kudo Financial Services and its holding company, TCF Global Independent Financial Services, became part of specialist pension consultant Mattioli Woods in 2011.
The business has just been rebranded under the Mattioli Woods banner, although the registered trading name will not change until later this year.
Group chief executive Ian Mattioli said: “Moving to one brand will provide a greater cohesiveness, which in turn will distinguish our products and services and help us continue to grow our position as a leading player in the wealth management and employee benefits sector”.
“This is a very positive development for both new and existing clients, and we intend very much to build on the Scottish teams’ award-winning and excellent reputation.”
Employee benefits director Alan Fergusson, who stayed with Kudos after its takeover, added: “This is a milestone in our history and much more than a change of name.
“It is an opportunity to continue to build on our successful 21st century financial services business for our clients.
“The fundamental strengths of our people, products and services will remain unchanged and we are excited for the future.”
Mr Fergusson was among directors who picked up cash and shares worth a total of £3.94million around the time of its acquisition by Leicester-based Mattioil Woods. A further £4.75million was be paid in cash within three years if financial targets were met.
