Inverurie-based Aberdeen and Northern Estates (ANE) has seen strong growth in their commercial division over the past 12 months.

Part of the ANM Group, the largest producer-owned farming, food, finance and commercial property business in Scotland, ANE has built a solid reputation for expertise in the rural property and land management sector across the north and north-east.

In recent years, the company has noted a surge in the requirement for commercial land and property close to major infrastructure improvements around Aberdeen, such as the city bypass road, and formed a commercial division as part of its expansion in 2013 to service this growing demand.

There has been major growth in the commercial market in areas outside Aberdeen’s city boundaries, driven by the strong oil and gas sector.

ANE has seen interest from a number of blue-chip companies among others in its wide range of commercial property for buying and leasing across the north-east.

Its growing portfolio includes industrial units at Dyce, offices at Blackburn and storage warehouses at Aboyne, Westhill and Inverurie.

ANE’s commercial department has had a busy 12 months, working with ANM Group on their new office campus and business park at Thainstone.

The 50-acre site is 15 miles west of Aberdeen and next to the Granite City to Inverness trunk road.

It is focused on providing bespoke design and build packages, and capitalising on its rural setting and good transport links.

Interest in the chance to locate to Thainstone has been strong, with ANE in advanced talks with a number of parties and construction expected to start in summer following completion of lease agreements.

ANE commercial surveyor Gervase Topp said the company was also expanding to meet the growing demands of the commercial and rural markets.

He added: “We have seen a dramatic growth in demand for our commercial services in the last 12 months, both from our existing client base and new customers, as word of our new department has spread.

“If property owners have a vacant unit or building they would like to sell or lease, then we would be delighted to advise them on the best solution for their situation.”
