More than 100 pipe bands from Scotland and as far afield as Australia will meet on Saturday, June 28, at the Piping Hot Forres event.
Held in the magnificent Grant Park in the centre of historic Forres, the 119 bands will compete for the title of European champions in their grade at the popular family event, which is sponsored by Benromach Speyside Single Malt Whisky
As well as the skirl of the pipes and the beat of the drums, there will be Highland dancers, local producers showcasing their excellent food and drink, a craft fair, children’s entertainment and many other stalls and attractions to make this a fun family day out. Go along and cheer on your local pipe band or just enjoy the traditional sights and sounds of Scotland: either way, with thousands of pipers and drummers dressed in their colourful tartans, it will be a day to remember.
