Light up your life by buying this fantastic converted steading near Stonehaven, writes Cheryl Livingstone

When you think of a steading, you tend to think of quite a dark and dank room that’s far from cosy.

This converted steading near Stonehaven couldn’t be accused of that however. Thanks to four large windows along the ground floor as well as other windows dotted around the house, this steading is basked in natural light from every aspect.

The Gables, 3 Mill of Uras, Catterline, is a far cry from what it would have originally been – showing the level of care and attention that has gone into creating this unique home.

High quality natural wood finishings, wonderfully spacious rooms and beautifully crafted feature windows are just some of the stunning aspects of this immaculate five-bedroom detached converted steading.

Rooms of note include the bright lounge with a lovely feature fireplace with mosaic tiling and slate hearth, the light-filled dining room and dining kitchen/family room.

This impressive room is flooded with natural light thanks to three feature arched windows which frame a wonderful open outlook of the surrounding countryside. The stylish modern farmhouse kitchen is fitted with an excellent range of cream base and wall units and ample space for dining furniture.

The six bedrooms are all a great size and can be used for different purposes to suit you needs. For example one bedroom is currently used as a study.
The master bedroom itself enjoys lovely views, two double wardrobes and an en suite shower room.
Outside, the steading, which is on the market for offers over £440,000, is surrounded by delightful gardens. There is a large tarred driveway for parking a number of vehicles as well as a drying green.

The Gables is located on the outskirts of Catterline, not far from the coastal town of Stonehaven, a seaside town which is around 15 miles from Aberdeen and boasts a lovely working harbour as well as shops, restaurants and schooling at primary and secondary age.
