A young otter cub is recuperating at an animal shelter after it was rescued from the banks of a river.
The cub, named Daffi by staff at the RSPCA, was found at the River Rother dragging its back legs around.
She was collected by RSPCA inspector Kristy Ludlam from Chesterfield, South Yorkshire., and is making a full recovery on a diet of trout and milk.
Kirsty said: “I immediately took her to a vet, where her legs were found to be fine but she was suffering from a respiratory infection.
“She was kept in overnight and given antibiotics, fluids and food. Thankfully she seemed to be recovering well and she was transferred to our wildlife centre the next day.”
