A North Sea oil worker who was airlifted off a platform after becoming ill has died at home.
The man was employed by service contractor Stork. It is not known if his death is linked to coronavirus.
It is understood he was working on the Elgin platform, operated by Total about 150 miles east of Aberdeen, when he became ill and was airlifted to shore earlier this week.
A Stork spokesman said: “Sadly, we have been informed of the passing of one of our colleagues at home.
“Our deepest condolences and sympathies are with his family, friends and teammates.
“Our main focus now is to provide support to his family and our colleagues at Stork throughout these difficult times.”
