Sneaking unwanted Christmas presents back to the store for a refund is something that everyone has done at one Christmas in their lives.
But this year a leading Aberdeen cancer charity wants to give the ungrateful a charitable alternative.
CLAN Cancer support is on the hunt for unwanted or duplicate gifts to be donated to its charity shops across the north-east this festive season.
Lorna Gates, CLAN’s senior shop manger, said: “December is always a busy time for our charity shops, and we are keen to replenish our stock.
“We stock a great range of goods and want to be able to keep this service going.
“If anyone finds themselves with a replicated gift or something they don’t want, we would encourage them to consider donating it.
“Equally, if you are having a clear-out after Christmas we would welcome any donations.
“From books and clothing to toys, decorations, shoes and household items, we are searching for a wide variety of items.
“While the majority of the goods we sell are secondhand, they are always great quality and people can find real one-offs without spending a lot of money.”
Donations of unwanted fondue kits, slippers and other unwelcome presents can be gifted to CLAN charity shops in Rosemount Place and Chapel Street in Aberdeen, as well as stores in Ballater, Kirkwall and Lerwick.
