What: Saipem Ltd Sonsub Division’s annual Burn’s Supper 2015

Where: Chester Hotel, Aberdeen

Who: The event attracted in excess of 150 employees from multiple offices within Sonsub, Sonsub Division and Saipem Ltd

Why: The Burns Supper is an annual event, with the company inviting senior managers from within the group, providing an opportunity for the Aberdeen office to share a traditional Scotland hospitality, and a chance to wear a kilt for the event, which proves popular, especially with the Italian guests.

The evening began with speeches by Massimo Fontolan, Sonsub vice-president, and Aberdeen-based Sonsub Division manager Richard Prothero with Vince McCarthy the COO for Saipem Ltd and line manager for Sonsub Division also in attendance. Robert West performed a rousing address to the haggis before an exceptional meal was served by the Chester staff. Entertainment was provided by Thistle Piping and The Big Show, which was enjoyed by all in attendance. Annually, Sonsub Division supports a local Aberdeen charity, and approximately £2,000 was donated on the night. This money will be presented to The ARCHIE Foundation later this year.
