Motoring enthusiasts made their way to an annual vintage rally on the banks of River Dee yesterday.

The Crathes Vintage Car and Motorcycle Rally took place at Milton of Crathes and attracted a host of vintage, classic and collector’s cars and motorcycles.

And though the rain did put a few attendees off, organisers still hailed the 19th year of the event a big success.

Chairman Richard Bridger, who was showing off his own 1998 TVR, said: “We still had a successful day and I’m grateful to all the exhibitors who braved the morning weather to ensure a fantastic show of cars.

“The attendance picked up in the afternoon and it was a nostalgic occasion for many.”
