The male motorcyclist involved in a collision with a 10 year old boy has been reported to the procurator fiscal.
Police officers were called to the scene at Cairngorm Drive, Aberdeen, at around 3.15pm yesterday.
It was reported there had been a collision between a green Kawasaki motorcycle and the pedestrian.
The child is currently receiving treatment at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for his injuries, which are assessed to be serious, but not life threatening. The male motorcyclist, 18, involved was traced and is in police custody. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal and he is expected to appear in court tomorrow.
Sergeant Emily Hesp, who is investigating the collision, said, “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or indeed the events leading up to and after it, to contact us on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
