Fire crews were called to scene, on the road between Marykirk and Laurencekirk, at 6.11am. Hydraulic cutting equipment was used to free a person trapped in one of the vehicles. A police spokeswoman said: “We are at the scene of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A937 at Marykirk. “One car is in a field.” One person was attended to by the ambulance service.
