Police have sealed off a north-east road in both directions as emergency services work to free two people left trapped in a car after it left the carriageway and overturned into a field.
The incident happened on the B9022 at Dykehead, near to the A98 south between Banff and Portsoy.
A police spokesman said that “no further details” are being disclosed on the injuries sustained at the moment.
Paramedics are also on the scene.
The road is currently closed in both directions due to the number of emergency service vehicles at the scene.
Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the accident, or has information which can assist with the investigation, to contact officers on 101 quoting incident number 3578 of the 11th January 2019.
