A north-east woman is seeking help in pulling off a “Guid Nicht Oot” to raise awareness of organ donation.
Lindsay Cameron arranged the fundraiser after seeing first hand the importance of transplants, following her mother’s life-saving operation.
Miss Cameron’s mother, Audrey, had a liver transplant in May 2017.
A Guid Nicht Oot will be held at the Station Hotel in Ellon on February 1, with a raft of traditional Scottish entertainment lined up.
It will feature Ellon groups including Local Vocals, Ythan Fiddlers , Louise Mcdonald Highland Dancers and more.
Money raised will go towards the Edinburgh Transplant Unit, Aberdeen Liver Clinic and the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance.
Mrs Cameron, from Hatton, was flown from Aberdeen to Edinburgh for her transplant on Helimed 76 and as a result, the family are backing the campaign to bring a second air ambulance to Aberdeen.
Miss Cameron said: “Helimed took mum from Aberdeen to Edinburgh for her transplant and is a large resource in the transplant process.
“Organ donation saves lives and we just want to try raise as much awareness as possible.”
