A new resource has been launched to help parents and carers build their confidence to allow them to help children’s learning at home.
Aberdeen City Council has launched its digital learning website to aid adults to support pupils’ coronavirus-enforced home learning.
Schools are expected to reopen in August after the summer holidays.
Staff are already preparing for a new type of education, which will blend time in much smaller classes at school and more home learning.
The council’s new website has been set up as a place for quality and reliable advice and tips, amid the sea of information already available on the internet.
Council education convener John Wheeler said: “While schools are gearing up for their return in August, it’s important that we can provide and support home learning in the interim.
“Our education services team has done an outstanding job throughout the lockdown in maintaining learning and the new resource designed by our children’s and family services team is a really welcome additional support which I’m sure will be appreciated by parents and carers.”
