The illegal Eastmains Ardlogie puppy farm, in Fyvie was set up last February but when the Scottish SPCA visited they discovered the animals had been treated so badly that many were suffering from lice, skin sores and matted hair, while a number of the dogs were so ill they died just days after being bought from the farm.
The owners of the farm appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court this week where they plead guilty to a number of charges in relation to the care of the animals and were handed a number of fines, community service orders and animal bans.

The floor was so filthy with animal waste that some of the dogs had even developed cysts on their paws.
