Appeal for witnesses following serious crash on north-east road

Police have appealed for witnesses following a serious crash on the A944 Dunecht to Alford road on Saturday,  December 5.

The incident happened at around 2.30pm and involved a Seat Leon and a tractor with a trailer. (Click here for more)

As a result of the collision the two occupants of the Seat Leon, a man aged 58 and a woman aged 59, were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

Roads Policing Sgt Steve Milne said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or either vehicles prior to the collision to contact us on 101.

“It is understood a small 4×4 may have stopped directly after the accident in the Eastbound carriageway and the sole occupant may have seen the collision. We would appeal for the driver to contact us.”
