Aberdeen City Council has opened a book of condolence for the victims of the Nice terror attack.
Professor David Lusseau, a consular councillor within Aberdeen’s French community, has organised the book for members of the public to leave messages of support.
It is available at the Broad Street reception of Aberdeen Town House until 4pm tomorrow.
Prof Lusseau will then forward the book of condolence to the French Embassy in London.
Council leader Jenny Laing said: “Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go to everyone affected by this terrible incident.
“Aberdeen city has close ties with France with many French people living and working in the city.
“I have been impressed by the fortitude of spirit shown by the citizens of Nice when faced with these horrific circumstances that turned a day of celebration into a day or mourning.
“On behalf of Aberdeen City Council we stand with you to support you in any way that we can.”
