A man and woman from Peterhead have been fined after being caught engaging in a sex act outside a family home.

Samantha Cowie, 28, and Allen McGee, 34, were caught having oral sex by a homeowner with young children who saw them in a Skerry Drive parking bay shortly after 11am on September 9 last year.

And at Peterhead Sheriff Court yesterday, both pleaded guilty by letter.

Fiscal depute Cheryl Clark said the neighbours’ children were only spared the sight after their mum moved them to a different room in the house.

“The children did not see it,” she said.

“Although they would have been able to if she did not move them to another room.”

The court heard the pair committed the offence after attending a party and drinking too much.

Defending their actions, solicitor Sam Milligan said they were “embarrassed” and that it would affect Shaw’s future job prospects.

She was described as being out-of-work at yesterday’s hearing, and Mr Milligan said: “Any disclosure check will have it available.

“There will necessarily be an impact.”

McGee, meanwhile, was said to be in full-time employment.

“They are not now or ever were in a relationship,” Mr Milligan added.

They were each fined £165 for the offence.

Commenting on the case, Sheriff Kevin Drummond said: “I thought I’d seen it all.”
