An Aberdeen man has appeared in court accused of throwing a coin at the weekend’s Dundee United match.
Brandon Bell, 18, appeared from custody at Dundee Sheriff Court.
It is alleged he threw a coin towards the pitch at Tannadice Park on Saturday, hitting a police constable and placing players, officials, stewards and other supporters in danger.
Bell, of Scotsmill Crescent, Aberdeen, had his case continued until November 4 and he was released on bail.
A Crown motion banning Bell from regulated football matches in Scotland as part of his bail conditions was not granted.
The game – a 4-0 Dundee United win – had 6pm kick-off time for a Saturday match, with the Dons bringing a reported 4,000 supporters with them against their “New Firm” rivals.
