A 14-year-old boy was taken to hospital with head injuries after being assaulted in Wick town centre.
He was attacked by another male and as a result received minor head and body juries. He was taken to Caithness General Hospital for treatment.
The incident occurred on September 28 at around 9.15pm on Shore Lane, Wick.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “The assailant is described as being a teenaged male wearing black clothing and black shoes with white soles. The assailant, who was with a group of similarly aged males, fled from the scene on foot.
“Anyone with information regarding this incident, in particular, the driver of a vehicle travelling on Shore Lane at the time of the incident, is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
