Police confirm death of 63-year-old woman following road accident in the Highlands

Emergency services were called to the incident involving a car and a pedestrian in the Strontian area of Lochaber yesterday.

A 63-year-old woman died at the scene following a collision with a Honda CRV on an unclassified road at Scotstown around 2pm.

No other vehicles or people were involved.

Road Policing Sergeant David Miller said: “Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this difficult time.

“We have spoken to a number of people already in connection with this incident.”
