The Longhope lifeboat crew were paged to assist the stricken vessel around 11.40am after the boat ran aground on rocks near Longhope. The crew provided assistance to the vessel before being able to remove it from its perch. It is now under tow by a second vessel with both steaming towards St Margaret’s Hope. A coastguard spokesman said an assessment has been carried out on the vessel and it is not taking in water.
