A lifeboat crew from Mallaig were in action last night after receiving a report of a grounded yacht on the isle of Muck.
The yacht had run aground on the north shore of the island and had to be refloated by the lifeboat crew and local Coastguard staff.
The lifeboat was dispatched to the scene shortly before 8pm last night after receiving a call from Stornoway Coastguard.
A spokesman for Mallaig lifeboat said: “When the lifeboat arrived, local Coastguard members were already on the scene and were tethering the yacht to a mooring point.
“The yacht was checked for damage and the crew members were also checked over and found to be safe and well.
“They then waited for the tide to come in so the yacht could be refloated.”
