A830 re-opened following earlier accident

Two cars were involved in the accident but the drivers involved only sustained minor injuries

A Highland road has been re-opened following an earlier accident.

Emergency services were called to the A830 Fort William to Mallaig trunk road, about four miles east of Lochailort, shortly after 4pm after a two-car accident.

The busy Road to the Isles had been totally blocked as a result of the accident but police say the road has now been re-opened.

The two people involved had minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
