Fire crews attend Castletown house fire

Fire crews tackled a house blaze in Castletown late last night.

Two engines from Thurso were sent to the incident on Main Street in the Highland town at 10.20pm.

A spokesperson for fire and rescue said: “One person was checked over as a precaution by the ambulance team.

“The fire was put out by 11pm.”
