A section of the A9 was closed for nearly 10 hours following a one-vehicle crash on the A9 in the Highlands.
The incident occurred at around 11.45am today on the A9 Inverness to Thurso road at Achavanich Farmhouse, near Latheron.
Fire crews from Thurso and Wick were dispatched to the incident and police closed the road at Achavanich.
The Scottish Ambulance Service also attended but it is not yet clear if anyone has been injured.
Fire teams left the scene at around 1.40pm but police remained to carry out collision investigation works.
The road reopened at around 9.30pm.
A fire spokesman said earlier in the day : “At 11.46am on Tuesday, November 29, Operations Control mobilised two appliances to assist emergency service partners at an incident on the A9, near the Latheron junction.”
