The man was injured on Saturday while walking on Stob Coire An Laoigh, a Munro which is part of the Grey Corries range near Kinlochleven. No details of the accident have been released by police, though a spokesman confirmed that the walker was not from the Highlands and islands. The Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team and the Inverness-based Coastguard helicopter Rescue 951 were involved in the search for the man. It follows another death on Friday on the Carn Mor Dearg arete, when a 51-year-old walker from the Aboyne suffered a fall. The man, who has not yet been named, fell more than 600ft from the ridge, which links Carn Mor Dearg with Ben Nevis. Already a subscriber? Sign in [[title]] [[text]] Close
