The incident happened on the A835 Tongue-Ledmore road, just north of Ullapool at Morefield brae, at about 2.10pm. The biker was taken by air ambulance to the north’s primary hospital but details of his injuries are still unknown at this stage. A police spokeswoman confirmed that the road will reopen soon. The collision happened less than a day after two French bikers were airlifted to hospital with leg injuries following a crash with a car in Argyll. It is the third crash involving a motorbike in the area in the space of a week.
