Lochinver lifeboat has been launched to assist with a struggling fishing boat.
Crews were alerted to the ship with a fouled propeller this morning at 4.56am.
The 55ft vessel named Sparkling Line was travelling near Cape Wrath when it came into difficulty.
A spokesman for the coastguard said six people were on board.
He added: “We received a call at four-minutes-to-five about a fishing vessel which had a rope caught in its propeller.
“The Lochinver lifeboat has been launched and the ship will be towed to Kinlochbervie.”
