Woman charged after fatal dog attack in Forres

A 53-year-old woman has been charged after a dog was killed in Moray yesterday.

Police said she had been charged after an incident involving two dogs in Forres.

Officers were called to an undisclosed location in the town as one dog was killed.

A spokeswoman for the force said the animal responsible had since been put down.

She said: “We have charged a 53-year-old woman in connection with an incident involving two dogs in Forres.

“Officers attended a report of a dog attacking another dog around 9am on Friday, October 11.

“Unfortunately one dog suffered fatal injuries.

“The animal responsible has been located and put to sleep.”

She confirmed a report had been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
