A bus driver is inviting people from across Moray to be part of a film chronicling the region’s experience of the coronavirus pandemic.
Elgin depot driver Phil Webster, who lives in Lossiemouth, is collecting footage from people living and working throughout the crisis to create a documentary.
The Stagecoach employee wants to highlight the unsung heroes and positive stories that exist during the time of hardship, sacrifice and sadness.
Mr Webster said he hopes the film will help future generations look back at a significant event in history.
He said: “When we all get old and have grandchildren it will be like the last generation asking about where you were during the war.
“The technology we have now is so much better than back then and I think it is important to log what happens. It will be the biggest event in our lives.
“I want the film to be about people who are at work through this.”
Mr Webster said the idea for the documentary came to him while he was behind the wheel of his number 10 bus.
He added: “The success of the project depends on people getting involved.
“I have had a couple of videos submitted so far.
“I want to make the documentary about half-an-hour long and I want it to be about the people of Moray.”
Everyone who submits footage is asked to include their name and where they live.
Anyone wanting to be part of the film can send videos to the Scottish Drone Services Facebook page, via WhatsApp to 07929 266354 or by WeTransfer to info@scottishdroneservices.co.uk
