A bizarre Twitter exchange has taken place between Alex Salmond and Star Trek star, William Shatner.
The back-and-forth comes after it was reported on Sunday that the former first minister attempted to board a plane using the alias James Kirk – the role Shatner made famous in the hit sci-fi series.
The American insitution obviously saw the funny side in the story and jokingly poked fun at the Gordon MP.
Mr Salmond, a self-confessed proud “trekkie”, then showed off his own photo-editing skills to respond to his hero.
