The accident, involving a blue Honda estate and a white Citroen, happened on Westburn Road, at its junction with Westburn Drive, at around 9.15am. An ambulance spokesman said: “We attended and one gentleman was taken to ARI.” The nature of the casualty’s injuries are not known, but they were not believed to be serious. The incident caused a blockage and lengthy tailbacks on the road. A police spokeswoman warned of “huge delays” and advised people to avoid the area. She added: “There was a road traffic collision on Westburn Road causing road blockages. It was a two vehicle collision at around 9.20am.” The scene was cleared by 11.30am.
