Dumbarton manager Ian Murray has lavished praise on Aberdeen goalkeeper Danny Rogers following his Republic of Ireland under-21 call up.
The 20-year-old has impressed during a loan spell at The Sons this season and has been included in the Irish squad to face Norway tomorrow night.
Murray said Rogers’ selection for the international friendly is fully deserved.
He said: “It is a great recognition for Danny. He has been excellent for us.
“He is a young keeper and came to us highly recommended from Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes and their goalkeeping coach Jim Leighton.
“We have given him the chance and it is great seeing that being repaid with his call up.
“He will be back in time for Saturday’s match against Hibernian as he plays Thursday and returns on Friday.”
