Aberdeen can, at least temporarily join Celtic at the top of the Premiership table with lunchtime victory over Dundee today.

The game kicks off at 12.15pm and will be shown live on BT Sport 2, or you can follow the match with our live game blog.

Aberdeen have a number of injury doubts ahead of the game, with Jonny Hayes, Willo Flood and Peter Pawlett all facing pre match fitness tests. Andrew Driver could make his debut for the first team after scoring the winner for the development team midweek.

Dundee top scorer Greg Stewart is expected to return to the team following a calf injury but Gary Irvine, Jim McAlister, Luka Tankulic and Gary Harkins remain out through injury.

Dundee manager Paul Hartley

“I think, if you look at the games previously, you can expect an entertaining game.

“We’ve scored 14 goals in the three games between us, so it’s been good games of football.

“I think that they know when they play us that they’re in a game and vice versa.

“They’ve got good players, they’ve had a good season so far and they’ll want to keep their run going, we want to get back on track and try to push towards the top six.”

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes

“Against Motherwell we weren’t good enough defensively, and we weren’t good enough to get into any sort of flow or rhythm to cause them any problems.

“They’ve (Dundee) always given us a good game. They’ve always caused us problems, always shown a real attacking threat against us.

“Ironically our best performance against them was the game we lost, and probably our worst performance against them, we won.”
