Peterhead chairman Rodger Morrison is confident the club will sell its initial ticket allocation for April’s Petrofac Training Cup final against Rangers.
Rangers have been given 25,066 tickets, while less than 4,000 tickets have been made available to Peterhead supporters.
Tickets went on sale on Thursday and chairman Morrison has been encouraged by the early demand for tickets for the final at Hampden Park on April 10.
He said: “It is going to be the biggest match in the club’s history.
“A lot of people from the town who don’t normally attend football matches have told me they intend to go.
“I think even before the tickets went on sale on Thursday we had sold around 500 in pre-bookings.
“We had people queuing for tickets on Thursday morning, which was great to see.
“Our initial allocation for the match was 3,800.
“We hope to sell those tickets and then hopefully get some more.
“It is early days but I think there is already a sense of excitement about the match.
“We expected an immediate rush but a lot of other people may take their time and get a ticket closer to the final.
“It should be a great day and one that everyone at the club is looking forward to.”
