Grant Campbell is poised to make his first appearance as a Fraserburgh player when the Broch head to Forres Mechanics today.
The midfielder, who had been on loan at Bellslea, made his move permanent on Thursday after signing a two-and-a-half year deal.
Fraserburgh manager Mark Cowie said: “We’re delighted to get Grant on board as he has been excellent for us since he came in. He brings qualities that we didn’t have and his organisational skills on the park are second to none.”
Campbell will be in the squad for today’s trip to Forres Mechanics.
Cowie said: “Forres are having a poor spell at the moment but they are still a dangerous side with a good starting 11. When you play teams going through tough spells they can be even more dangerous.
“We’ll be treating the game like every trip we make to Mosset Park as we know we are facing a top side with top players.”
Clach manager Sandy McLeod has warned his side to beware the wounded animal as the Lilywhites travel to Buckie to face a Jags side smarting from losing to a late winner against Formartine last week.
He said: “Buckie will be very hard and we know they are aiming to bounce back. We know how difficult it was the last time we played them when I first took over but we held out for 70 minutes.
“It was only when we had to make substitutions due to injuries that they made the breakthrough, but our lads know they have to put in a performance if we are to get something from the game.”
Inverurie Locos also hope to bounce back from their 3-2 defeat at Nairn, a result that leaves them six points adrift of leaders Brora, when they welcome Huntly to Harlaw Park.
Locos boss Andy Low said: “I always look forward to the Huntly games. They probably deserved to beat us in the last game.
“We won by being clinical. I am looking for a result and a performance, especially on the back of last week’s display at Nairn.”
Locos defender Mark Souter broke his nose against Nairn and is out for a couple of weeks while midfielder Andy Watt is absent due to collarbone injury. Full back Greg Mitchell is suspended.
