Caley Thistle manager John Hughes said

“We have maybe lost the ability to look after the ball over the last month but we’re getting back to it.

“We’re getting back to that training philosophy of one and two-touch, pass-and-move.

“Hopefully, we can continue to take that on to the pitch. We’ll take it one game at a time and see where it takes us.”

St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright said

“If you look at it, we’re four points better off than we were last season.

“We have 10 wins and we only had 14 wins before the split last year so our points total is higher than at this stage.

“We have found a different way to do it. We have been even tighter at the back this season and to score 19 goals and be in top six shows how good we can be.”
