Caley Thistle continue to look for their first win of the season, after going down 2-0 against Hamilton Accies at Caledonian Stadium.
A goal in each half from Carlton Morris and Louis Longridge consigned the Highlanders to a defeat that keeps them joint bottom of the Premiership.
It was a disappointing performance from Caley Jags, who failed to make the most of early chances that fell their way.
Inverness manager John Hughes drafted in Dani Lopez and Ryan Christie, who both found the net off the bench in last weekend’s 4-2 defeat against Celtic at Parkhead, with Carl Tremarco and Lewis Horner dropping out.
Accies were unchanged from the side that thrashed Dundee United 4-0 last weekend, meaning they came into their encounter at Caledonian Stadium full of confidence.
The first glimpse of goal fell the hosts’ way when Andrea Mbuyi-Mutombo flicked the ball on for Lopez, who flashed his shot over the bar from the edge of the box after the ball had taken a bobble.
Lopez had another two excellent chances, threatening first with a downward header from Ross Draper’s cross, that forced Accies goalkeeper Michael McGovern to stoop low to clutch the ball, before spurning an even better chance when he sidefooted straight at McGovern from close-range after a superb low cross by Mbuyi-Mutombo.
Hamilton offered an indication of their threat on 17 minutes when Grant Gillespie powered a low strike inches wide from long-range, however they were not to be denied just a minute later, with their first shot on target.
Midfielder Ali Crawford picked out forward Carlton Morris, who confidently darted past Draper and slotted low beyond Fon Williams to give his side the lead.
Caley Thistle had a fine chance to level moments later, when Christie picked out Mbuyi-Mutombo, but from a tight angle he squeezed his shot wide of the left-hand post.
Hamilton nearly added a second though, with Fon Williams having to make a fine point-blank save to deny Gramoz Kurtaj.
The second-half was not as quick off the mark, but Lopez continued to probe, attempting two long range efforts that McGovern dealt with.
Chances were few and far between, with substitute Lewis Horner quickly closed down at the far post by Lucas Tagliapietra following Carl Tremarco’s delivery.
Hamilton grabbed a second goal in injury time, with former Caley Jags midfielder Dougie Imrie picking out substitute Louis Longridge, and with his first touch since replacing Kurtaj he rounded Fon Williams before slotting into the net to compound a miserable day for the hosts.
